Fall at the Zoo andBen Franklin Parkway

There was a particularly nice late afternoon last October, so I decided to take advantage, and headed first to the Philadelphia Zoo, then Eakins Oval on the Parkway.
The Zoo was closed by the time I got there, so I focused on the statue in front of the entrance.
The statue is called the "Dying Lioness". I had never paid much attention to it before, but the details are fascinating. I could feel the pain of her family.
I focused on the George Washington statue on the Parkway before heading up the steps of the Philadelphia Art Museum. (No, I did not run up.)
